Medical Flexible Spending Account (MFSA)
A Medical Flexible Spending Account (MFSA) is a pre-tax benefit account through your employer that’s used to pay for eligible medical, dental, and vision care expenses that are not covered by your health care plan or elsewhere. With a MFSA, you use pre-tax dollars to pay for qualified out-of-pocket health care expenses.
If your place of employment has a MFSA program and you have not participated in the past, you may want to check with your Benefits Administrator about participating during open enrollment. If you are currently participating in a MFSA, you may be able to use it towards your dental treatment. Please check with your Benefits Administrator to find out what your MFSA covers for dental care expenses.
